Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. We also use advertising tools from Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft and Vibe to measure and improve our ads. These services may set cookies or similar technologies in your browser. You can manage your choices through our cookie banner or your browser settings.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Quote requests
This section covers quote requests made on our website’s podcast quote generator and through the Sunset 17 app in AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude.
What we collect
When you send us a quote request, we receive:
- your name and email address;
- your phone number and comments, if you choose to give them;
- whether you’d like us to contact you;
- the options you chose (studio hours, third camera, vertical shorts, branded posters) and the quoted total.
When you send the request from our website, we also record your IP address, the page you came from, the page you were on, and any campaign tags (UTM parameters) in the link you followed.
When you use the Sunset 17 app in an AI assistant:
- We receive only the details you enter in the quote form or agree to share. We don’t receive your conversation with the assistant.
- The request reaches us from the assistant’s servers, so we don’t see your device’s IP address.
- Asking the app about prices without sending a quote request doesn’t give us any personal information.
How we use it
We use these details to respond to your quote request, to contact you about your booking if you asked us to, and to send you a confirmation email. We don’t add you to marketing emails because you requested a quote.
Who receives it
- The Sunset 17 team members who handle quotes and bookings.
- Service providers that run our website and deliver our email, only to provide those services to us.
- If you use an AI assistant, that assistant’s provider (for example OpenAI or Anthropic) handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.
We don’t sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests for 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless we need to keep them longer for legal or accounting reasons. Our servers’ technical logs are kept for about a week for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information from your quote request. Contact us at privacy@sunset17.com or call 949-391-2312.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and update the date below.
